GEORGETOWN, K.Y. (NEWS10) – The new Belmont Stakes champion, Sovereignty, is resting up after his big win on Saturday. Meanwhile, the oldest living Belmont Stakes winner, Touch Gold, is enjoying retirement at a farm in Kentucky.
Touch Gold won the 1997 Belmont Stakes. Last month, he turned 31.
He is now a resident of Old Friends, at an equine aftercare farm in Georgetown, Kentucky. One of their farms is located locally, Old Friends at Cabin Creek in Greenfield Center.
