Legendary wrestler Sabu has died at 60, according to media outlets that cover wrestling as well as All Elite Wrestling.

A message from AEW said Sabu was known for his “unforgettable high-risk moments.” A cause of death has not been provided.

The famed wrestler, born Terry Brunk, began his career in the 1980s and eventually wrestled for Japanese organizations as well as U.S.-based ones, including WCW, ECW and WWE.

He was known as one of the pioneers of the extreme style of wrestling that was popular in the 1990s.

Sabu’s final professional appearance was at Joey Janela’s Spring Break 9 in Las Vegas on April 18. There, he took part in his retirement match against Joey Janela, scoring a victory.

That was reportedly his first match in several years, and ultimately, it turned out to be his last.
