A 31-year-old man is in police custody after he was arrested for allegedly advertising sex services with an underage girl he trafficked in Southern California.
Deirdrick Dayvon Bradford was arrested on Oct. 14 in Phoenix, Arizona, after he allegedly orchestrated the prostitution of the underage girl in that state, as well as in Los Angeles and Riverside counties.
Bradford became the subject of an investigation in mid-August after the Riverside Police Department learned that the girl had been advertised for commercial sex on an online platform.
With the assistance of the U.S. Marshals and local authorities in Arizona, Bradford was located and arrested on suspicion of human trafficking, pimping and possession of child pornography.
Ten days after his arrest, he was transported back to Riverside County and booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside where he remains in custody on $85,000 bail.
“This investigation highlights the outstanding work of our Vice Unit and their relentless efforts to protect victims of human trafficking,” said Riverside Police Chief Larry Gonzalez in a news release. “We were able to locate and arrest a dangerous offender who tried to evade justice. [This] collaboration ensures that those who exploit the vulnerable are brought to answer for their crimes.”
The investigation remains ongoing, and anyone with information is urged to contact the Riverside Police Department’s Vice Unit by email or by calling 951-353-7614.
