Loved ones search for missing 59-year-old Southern California man

Loved ones are searching for a Southern California man who has been missing for almost a week.

Scott Gardner, 59, was reported missing on Oct. 24, according to the Pomona Police Department. 

Gardner, who is considered critically missing, was last seen by his wife leaving his residence in Pomona. 

He is described as a white man who stands 6 feet 2 inches and weighs 240 pounds. He has brown eyes and brown hair.

He may be driving a red 1987 Nissan pickup truck with a white camper shell and California license plate number 3H62324. 

According to Gardner’s family, he had planned to visit a campground near Bishop, located in Inyo County in the greater Northern California region. Since leaving his home that day, he has not been seen or heard from since

Garder’s family did not mention any health issues that may have contirbuted ot his disappearance and are very concerned for his well-being.

A “critically missing person” is defined as:

  • A person who has no pattern of running away or disappearing
  • A person in critical need of medical attention
  • The victim of a crime or foul play
  • The victim of a kidnapping or parental abduction
  • A person who is mentally impaired to the extent that such person is unable to care for himself or herself or is an immediate danger to his or her own safety or the safety of others
